Kōrero from Craig - Principal's Message
Reflecting on Our Recent Camps – Memories for a Lifetime
Our recent camps have been an incredible success, providing our tamariki with unforgettable experiences that build confidence, resilience, and friendships. Last week’s Kōwhai Pod camp at El Rancho was another fantastic adventure, filled with challenges, teamwork, and plenty of fun. Camps play a vital role in our students' growth, offering opportunities to step outside their comfort zones, develop independence, and create lifelong memories.
A massive thank you to our dedicated teachers and amazing adult helpers who make these experiences possible. Organizing a camp takes an enormous amount of time, preparation, and responsibility. Our staff not only ensure the safety and well-being of our students but also give up time with their own whānau and personal commitments to make these camps happen. Your professionalism, care, and manaakitanga are truly appreciated—ngā mihi nui!

Celebrating Neurodiversity Week
This week, we celebrate Neurodiversity Week, a time to recognise and embrace the diverse ways our brains work. At Kapakapanui School, we value inclusivity and understanding, ensuring that every learner feels supported and empowered to thrive. Neurodiversity includes conditions such as dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and more—each bringing unique strengths and perspectives. By fostering awareness and acceptance, we create an environment where all tamariki can succeed in their own way. Let's take this opportunity to learn, listen, and celebrate the strengths of our neurodiverse learners. For more information, visit www.neurodiversityweek.com.
